Duncan Farmer's Market and Hudson on First Restaurant

On Saturday my wife and I went up to Duncan for a sale going on at a great game store there, DiceBagGames. Of course that is not the sole reason we went up there. Duncan also has a great farmer's market that has very different things than we do in Victoria.Highlights were Ixim (Mexican hot chocolate), Damali Wine (saved me a trip to thier winery and the PST/GST), and Captain Jack's canned tuna and salmon (oils left in the can and not squeezed out). There was four stalls providing wine samples and one with gin! As always the produce sellers had great wares and when we come back in two weeks we will have lunch at the Egyptian food stall.

For lunch we had pre-planned to try out Hudson's on First, whose head chef was on Top Chef Canada a few years back. I had the smoked tuna, spinach and asparagus omelette with goat cheese and my wife had the battered snapper and fries with apple & fennel slaw. They were both good and we'd eat here again.

I'll post here about our Egyptian food stall experience when we are back up here.
