St Martins, Lunch, and Rock Caves

(Delayed posting. Visited during summer 2024)

St Martins sea caves to the East of the community of St Martins, in New Brunswick, and on the Westerns side of Fundy National Park. The layers of strata that have been pushed up and/or pulled down form a wonderful counterpoint to the lush greenery on top of it.

The Caves Restaurant was nearby. We were with my mom and two of her friends. I decided to order a seafood casserole to have some local seafood goodness. It was nice and creamy with loads of protein from the sea.

While mom and her friends rested from their meal I went out wandering along the shore. I found two interesting rocks that looked like swirling galaxies.

We stopped at a place they liked to go to, Octopus Ice Cream. I had a tasty two scoops in a bowl that was devoured quickly.

I liked this spontaneous trip as I had not been in this area for at least a decade.
