The restaurant at the d'Orsay was an oasis Iin the busyness and neanderthalness (is that a word...is now). The restaurant looks like 1900's original, in fact it is originalplus the ceiling is classified as a historical monument.
The decor and feeling you get is one of gentle opulence.
My wife had a shrimp terrine with caviar. The green cubes are wasabi gelatin.
I had fois gras chunks on pork terrine with salad greens and fromage blanc.
For a main my wife had chicken wrapped with cabbage and gnocci with cooked mushrooms.
I had small ravioli pasta with truffle sauce and parmesan.
