France - Paris day 05 - Orangerie Museum

Originall buit in 1852, it was used for a variety of things including an examination center, patriotic events and tohouse orange trees. Itnowhas impressionist and post-impressio ist paintings. The star of the museum is Monet's "Water Lilly" series on huge panels. The water lilly series was unfinished at the time of Monet's death, in 1928.

I found the museum lacking in a complete snapshot of his impressionist time period.

So go if you like art from this time period.
