Durham - Castle University Accomodations

After getting to Durham, we checked into our castle. Yup, we got to stay one night at Durham Castle. Although it is now a university, during the summer it rents out rooms to non-university personnel.
We got rooms in the keep, because it sounded really cool.
87 steps and some landing later, with a full backpack, took a little of the cool out of it but still...we are staying in a castle! They do have other rooms in more accessible locations.
During the school year, more senior students can submit to stay here.

According to my wife, the dorms here are quite posh and roomy. I had to agree on the roomy and for a very old castle, modernized, I would agree on the posh.
 En suite too!
You can see Durham cathedral to the South through the window.
