York - Riverside

The history of the name of the River Ouse is up for debate. Some say Roman and some say Viking while other say Norman. Regardless it is a nice place to walk along.
Many canal boats from the UK and abroad docked in town. It would be a nice way of seeing the countryside. This is looking East almost out our front door of the B&B we were staying at.
This is looking West from the Station Road bridge.
Lots of fowl denizens inhabit the riverside.
This park starts East after the Scarborough Rail Bridge. It goes on for a nice distance with a large field on the inland side.
No idea on what this flower is but many of them and other were by the river.
Dame Judi Dench lived, went to school, and started in theater in York so its nice that they named a walk by the river for her.
