Humshaugh to Carrawburgh (Procolita) Fort Walk

The first leg of the day's Hadrian's Wall walk.
Around area of Walwick.
Wall popping up from the ground.
Turret 29a, near Black Carts.

A lovely bit of wall, with a tree growing in the vallum.
The Limestone Corner was an abandoned quarry for the Romans, and shallow vallum, but was abandoned because the rock was too hard to get out. It is also the most Northern part of the wall.
