France - Normandy Day 1 - Christian Dior Museum

Granville, in Normandy, is where Christian Dior grew up. His childhood home has been converted into a museum. The house was closed and the exhibit had just finished, much to the dismay of my wife. The grounds were open so we walked around.
He was a fashion icon in the 40's and 50's and his influence was the inspiration for many fashion designers after him. In the gardens are famous women wearing fashions made during his life or after him by his fashion house. Pictured here is the iconic Italian, Sophia Loren.
The fashion house of Dior still exists today making clothes to discerning women, men and children.
