Hornby Island - Hike from Ford Cove to Shingle Spit, and back again

We went on a new hike along the South West part of Hornby through Mount Geoffrey Escarpment Provincial Park, from Ford Cove to Shingle Spit. It was a nice hike with lots of forest canopy and views of the straights.
It took us less than an hour to get to Shingle Spit, where they have a pub, art shop, and excellent used book shop.
The land side of the trail was also of interest with many rocks, large and small, from glaciers and the mountainside.
For those hiking to Ford Cove, there is a well stocked convenience store, that serves up good pizza at night, and a food truck. There is also a marina there.
