Silver Star Mountain

Silver Star, the area that our friend lives whom we visited this day, is quite the place of natural beauty. They are situated on the outer ring of homes for unobstructed views of the mountains nearby.
It is very easy to see the appeal when one can take a bath with this majestic vista.
The houses, townhomes, and condos are of mixed ages and styles. I despise cookie cutter housing developments so it made me want to consider this as an option for future retirement.
Unfortunately, during the non-winter months, most places on the mountain are closed so you have to go down to Vernon to purchase them. I can see that as part of the charm and to encourage utilizing less, cooking more, and getting into the outdoors...but it was a little too hot this summer in the interior of British Columbia for myself as are most summers. My friend that owns a place here said its normally cooler on the mountain than at lower altitudes. I personally would utilize a property here during the other months and I see the appeal of utilizing this area during the off-season for introspection and remoteness.
Properties for sale can be seen here.
