Tucked into the center of Lehon, near Dinan, is La Marmite de L'Abbaye.
It is small and very charming especially the wife of the chef, Madame Borgnic. She was a delight to converse with about travel, food and life.
My wife started with a duck terrine, lightly pickled prunes and salad.
I had the lightly smoked and pickled salmon, which is on par with that of the West coast of Canada. The fresh lemon, a little olive oil and herbs on top brought out the rich flavors of the fish.
For a drink we had a bottle of cider. Very nice!
We both had the guinea fowl with a great sauce of apples.
My wife had sorbet made with curd and a house made breton shortbread cookie.
I had the creme brulee.
