France - Loire Day 02 - Chapel Saint Denis

This chapel was built in the 1100’s.
The door is very ornate and has interesting geometry with the repeat door shapes.

This statue was tucked away in a corner. I find it interesting that a woman reading a book is in a church and it looks like it’s not even a bible.
The figures on the pillar are quite amusing.
