France - Loire day 03 - Chateau Cheverny Upstairs

The first big room is a wonderfully imposing room storing arms and armor through the ages.
The ceiling is very detailed in its pattern.
This chest is the type that the keyhole in the front is fake and the real keyhole is hidden on the top of the chest.
The Saracen shield, Spanish helmets, Northern French chain mail and British two handed sword are all intermingled nicely.
Even though the time periods are mixed, there is symmetry to them.
This little outfit and drum set belonged to one of the ancestors of the estate.
The Japanese swords are marvelous and I hope would tell a good story but the origin of how they got is unknown to this humble person.
The fireplace is ornate yet structured and flowing.
This bedroom was for guests to the estate. Royalty has slept here.
The ceiling has paintings from Greek stories.

The nursery and children's bedroom.
The upstairs dining room is a more intimate affair with a nice shade of green and elaborate glass centrepiece of a deer.
A lockable aperitif holder.
