April 21 & 22 - Restful Days and Remembrances

Feelings of the Day: “Catching up” is a time honoured sequence of events where two folks, or more, meet and go over all the interesting things that have happened to them since last they saw each other. There may also be discussions on common topics and current events. These two days were like that for the three of us.

Full Two Day’s Events: What happened on the 21st was quite simple. We relaxed, shopped at the Lupa, then relaxed some more. R&J did an incredible amount of bicycling through all kinds of terrain and conditions.

It was very interesting to listen to them and realize that Spain has a robust rural inn system with marvellous restaurants attached, which may be perfect for future trips for myself and my wife. We also relaxed as laundry was done, books read, and emails caught up on. 0.7km and 4 flights walked.

The 22nd was a little more exuberant. It wasn’t just Kian the cat that came over to visit, but also R&J invited the next door neighbours as lunch guests. What followed was an over two hour Spanish and English dialogue on life in Almazan, interesting events in Spain, the lives we have lived, and what brought each of us joy. It was a lovely look into another aspect of life in Spain.

Looking to work off some calories we took a walk through the park, then myself and R took a walk to the Eroski for two types of flour so J could make some more sourdough bread. 6.8km and 13 flights walked.
