France -Paris day 01 - Rue Montorgueil

One of the reasons for getting an apartment,  as mentioned before, was to take advantage of this street...rue Montorgueil.
This the North end of the street. Rue Montorgueil Has lots of bread, pastry, meat, seafood, cheese, fruit and vegetable shops. If you do not feel like cooking Iit also has lots of restaurants and cafes. Just don't go to a fast food place or you'll be missing out.
Who hasn't wanted to see a Salvador Dhali Yoda? This is looking North from the North gate.
This is a cheese shop wherewe bought a little assortment and some rabbit pate. Yum!
A nice display of seafood.
 Fruit and vegetables.
A humungous pear, a butcher and a seafood seller...all next to one another. Each store specializing and thriving. I would like to see a return to that in the downtown areas of cities.
A very old sugery delights store.
A sample of what they have. There was a long lineup so perhaps another night.
Look at the big snail on top of the awning.
Now its night and we are at the South end of the street. It didn't take that long to go and buy items, we just took a break at a cafe.
Here is our supper meal. A wonderful assortment of what the rue Montorgueil has to offer.
My wife loves the cantalopes in Europe. From the deep color and taste that goes with it, i'm sure you can see why.
