France - Paris Day 01 -Le Petit Macon

Le Petit Macon is a French restaurant specializing in Lyonnaise cuisine. We were interested inscallopoth from seeing it on Google street view when scoping out our apartment we were renting and its proximity. We were going to book it for supper on day two of our trip but its only open from noon till 3pm! It was decided to eat there immediatly even though we were quite tired from our flight.
The establishment was started in 1905 but was under new owners with the Lyonnaise theme in 1995. The head madmoiselle was very charming and made us feel like old friends.
I was drawn to the avacado and lemon soup with goat cheese sorbet for an appetizer then had the scallops and lagostine with tomato shellfish bisque on wild rice. My wife had the carmelized onionand brie on top of goat cheese as an appy then the duck confeit in orange sauce with scalloped potatoes.

Everything was excellent and the old world charm of the place was perfect for our first day in Paris.
