We booked into the hotel where many of our companions and friends were staying for the Worldcon convention, the Radisson Blu Plaza hotel in Helsinki. Normally we stay at B&Bs but this was very convenient to downtown and on major transit routes to the conventions center.
It looks quite strange but apropos with circles of light and glowing numbers in the hallways.
The room numbers have another purpose though. In your room, you can make a switch to tell the service staff if you do not want to be disturbed, you need service for cleaning, or ambivalent. The switch also changes the colour of the number outside your door. Clever!
The rooms were very clean and each had a deep tub.
The bed was comfy with individual duvets. No hogging the sheets at this place. They also had the option to choose from multiple other types of pillows.
Although there was lots of space to store items, it wasn't quite enough to spread out for eight nights, alas.
This hotel was also very expensive from what we normally go for but it also had lots of perks like the gourmet breakfast buffet, lounge, sauna, and other services. It was interesting to see how the well off live while traveling.
