Lisbon - Baixia 2 of 2

In the 1755 earthquake, it happened during the time many were in church. In this particular one, the roof caved in and caught on fire. Because construction efforts were driven to making housing rather than church repair (which is what the people wanted) this building stayed the way it was for a long time. You can see the marks of the fire throughout the building.
