Palace of the Duke of Cadaval

After the church of Loios, the museum part of the palace of Cadaval was available to us. The family still comes to stay in a lower part of the palace and takes the money they receive from admittance for upkeep of the estate.

They had a lot of the original documents available for viewing.
 Ducal visages through the ages.
 Palanquin
Coat of arms of the Cadaval family in the older kitchen.
Here is a view of the courtyard, where hotel guests can lounge or people can take advantage of the buffet for lunch and supper during peak season.
Here is the tower of five corners from the outside of the building. We got to climb up it and get a little view of the city. It dates from the time of the Moors.
