York Minster - The Hidden Tour

We participated in the Hidden tour, which is run only a few days in the week once per day. It provided a look on top of the ceiling of the chapter house as well as the work areas of the masons and carpenters of the cathedral.
Here are the templates for the wood and stone parts of the cathedral.
The ceiling above the ceiling of the passageway to the chapter house.
The drawings in on the stone were to assemble the parts that would be used in the upper part of the cathedral.
The wooden support structure above the chapter house is an incredible feat of engineering.
The stairs are cool.
They have a privy up here too!
