York - Henshelwoods Delicatessen

To get a lunch to go, for the train to Durham, we stopped into Henshellwoods Delicatessen on a whim. We are sure glad we did!

There were lots of locals getting their sandwiches and such so we knew we had picked a good place.
The prices for sandwiches were incredibly cheap compared to other places we looked at while staying in York. They do picnic basket combos too.
They also have other nibbles too.
I remembered this cheese only after stepping outside and regret not getting it to try. Next time.
My wife and I got ox tongue sandwiches and the meat was delicious and melted in your mouth. Would definitely recommend this place!
