Milecastle 42 to Great Chester's Roman Fort

Continuing on from Milecastle 42 we head West along Hadrian's wall.
Looking East at where we had come,
Looking back at another hill we had climbed over.
We greeted this friendly Roman soldier patrolling the wall, the first we had seen this hike. We let him know that he was well turned out, we were not a threat, and he permitted us to take his picture. I'm glad they outfit them with a GPS.

Looking East where we came from.
Where we are going.
