(Delayed posting. Visited during summer 2024)
Fort Beauséjour was renamed Cumberland after the British took the fort. In 1833 the Fort was deemed of no further use and de-stored. The land and buildings were leased to the local farmers. In 1920 it was made a National Historic site and restored to what it likely was, except for the multi-story stone buildings. I have always liked coming here, no matter the season, because places like this have always fascinated me for its history and importance. It's also a place to stretch your legs while taking in the natural environment around it. I recommend it.
The following are pictures inside the site and some looking around it. Enjoy.
