Landscape of Grande-Pre UNESCO Site

 (Delayed posting. Visited during summer 2024) 

In 2012, the Landscape of Grand-Pre was recognized by UNESCO as an important cultural site. There is a viewing area above the land that was salt marshes but were turned into agricultural land by the Acadians in the 17th century. Here are some pictures from this moving viewpoint.


There was a family of foxes playing among the hedge and field.
