(Delayed posting. Visited during summer 2024)
From 1749 to 1844, the Old Burying Ground in Halifax, just outside the original palisade walls, was used to intern the dead of this colony, community, and British military camp. More than 10000 were placed here but only 1200 grave markers. Care of this place declined and new renovations and repair were done in the 1990's with more to come. It's worth a walk through for the interesting grave markers, names, and epitaphs when it is open (generally the summer months).
