Glenora Inn & Distillery

(Delayed posting. Visited during summer 2024)

As North America's first maker of single malt whiskey, and among the rolling hills of Cape Breton, we had to visit Glenora Inn & Distillery. I had been here before for supper, in 2014, but not with my spouse.

The creek was an important resource for making the whisky. It also looks nice and promotes the good feeling required to enjoy the drink.

We booked a tour which included a taste. When they are in full industrial mode when bottling the whiskey, not during tourist season, every employee is here including the restaurant and Inn staff.

A nice place to visit. By the way, they won their lawsuit to continue using the word "Glen" in their name of the distillery and whiskey. The details are here.
