Spain Day 12e - Alhambra Part 5 - Palacios Nazaries

The Hall of the Ambassadors was a palatial reception hall for the Nasrid empire. Imagine the remnants of gold leaf on the entrance arch in its full splendor from the past.

This room is 45 feet tall and covered in intricate tilework.

The ceiling is a geometric wonder.

There are nine small alcoves in this room, like this one, for people to wait, converse, and guide the empire.

The hall of the mocarabes with a Spanish addition to the ceiling.

Such skill.

The entrance to the Courtyard of the Lions.

It is quite large with a shrub in each corner.

The focal point is the fountain of lions itself and still works today, with the help of the restorers through the last hundred years.
