Spain Day 12d - Alhambra Part 4 - Palacios Nazaries

The courtyard of the Myrtles is commonly associated with the Alhambra, even for folks who have not visited here. Water. Green shrubs. Low burbling sounds from the fountain. Light and shade. It has it all and more.

This three dimensional carving is extraordinary.

A door for two sizes.

Don't forget to look up sometimes!

Don't forget to look down! Only two types of tile are used here.

The carving on the transition is a tribute to the skills of the Nasrids.

Wonderful intricate carving on a wall.

This young girl was proudly taking pictures with her father's cell phone. A photographer or art expert in the making?
