Spain Day 17c - Montserrat Museum - Gothic and Renaissance Section

The Gothic section of the Monserrat monastery had many items of interest and artistry.

Nicolas Frances from 1450, "Construction of the church of Saint Michael at Mount Gargano". I like the 3D effect of the wood.

Marti de Vilanova, 1387, "Saint Catherine of Mount Sinai".

Anonymous from Aragon, 15th century, "Saint Peter on chair".

Caravaggio, 1605, "Penitent Saint Gerome".

Jan Bruegel de Velours, "Saint Benedict among the brambles".

El Greco, 1576-1580, "repentant Saint Magdalene".

Gil Fontanet, end 15th to start of 16th, "Sybille".

Marco Pinto, 1560, "Holy Family and a Saint".
