We decided on a scouting expedition to the Sagrada Familia. We had tickets to go here the next day but people we know who visited the place all said it was overwhelming when they first encountered it. We wanted to go here via the excellent Barcelona subway and see each facing of the outside of this wonderous structure. We started on the Apse façade.
This was a good side to start on. Believe it or not, is it less ornate than the other three side but the fewer distractions allows people to admire the upper structure.
Now to move onto the Passion Façade, which you can see from the side, below.
