Spain Day 15i - Gothic Quarter

Before and after visiting the Guell Palace we walked around the Ramblas and the older part of Barcelona, known as the Gothic quarter.

The remains of the old Roman gate and aqueduct.

Bisbe street and the Bishop's bridge so they could walk to the old cathedral without mingling with the common folk.

Thin streets besides the old cathedral.

Building for the collage of architects, with a three sided mural done by Picasso.

The city archives are in a 15th century mansion.

There are Roman ruins in the lower level of the archive building.

A memorial.

Placa de Sant Jaume or Saint John's plaza.

Roman pillars to a temple of Augustus.

The old cathedral of Barcelona. Money was donated by Samgung so they could hang advertising.

The fountain of Saint Anna.
